COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two nights and two robberies, Colorado Springs Police are looking for a man who has been using lighter fluid as his weapon.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, police were called to Coaltrain Wine and Liquor on W. Uintah Street for a robbery.
Witnesses said the suspect sprayed the employees with an unknown liquid, and then demanded cash.
He is described as black, in his 20's, 5'10", with an average to heavy build.
He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a gray hoodie, blue jacket and sunglasses.
A similar robbery occured Saturday morning at the Clarion Hotel on Bijou Street.
In that case, the suspect poured lighter fluid on the clerk, took cash, and then tried to light the employee on fire.
That suspect was described as a black male in his 40's, 5'11", 180 pounds, with a scruffy beard and bumps on his face.
Police do not know for sure if the two incidents are connected.
