COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- An alert Colorado Springs Police Department K-9 officer helped to capture a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals.
Early Tuesday morning the officer observed a suspicious blacked-out vehicle in a cul-de-sac near Dublin Boulevard and Oakwood Blvd.
The officer attempted to contact the driver, who took off on foot. The officer chased him a short way, but the suspect was able to temporarily escape.
Numerous other officers arrived and set up a perimeter.
The man was found hiding in a window well of a nearby house and identified as Charles Roberts, a.k.a. Alford Mannix.
Roberts was taken into custody and booked into the CJC.
