COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have released the name of the man who was shot in the face Saturday night.
Officers have not made any arrests yet after finding 20-year-old Gary Williams, a Colorado Springs resident, on the floor outside an apartment door at the Mountain Country Estates Apartments on Academy Boulevard, near Pikes Peak Avenue around 9:15 p.m.
Williams remains in critical condition at a hospital.
Officers said the initial call was a home invasion, but they are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
"We will consider all of the facts and then make a decision as to whether or not we should file any charges," Larry Herbert with the Colorado Springs Police Department said.
A man, a woman and three young children were in the apartment at the time.
