PUEBLO WEST, COLO. -- Pueblo County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 15-year-old boy and are looking for other potential suspects who tried breaking into a 61-year-old woman's home early Monday morning.
The woman called 911 around 3:27 a.m. after she heard glass breaking. When deputies arrived, they searched her one-floor house in the 700 block of West Questa Drive in Pueblo West but didn't find anyone inside.
However, other deputies chased a car away from the scene long enough to get its car description and license plate. They went to the house of the car listing and arrested the 15-year-old there.
Deputies gathered shoe and tire impressions from outside the house and said the boy was likely not alone in the attempted burglary.
The boy will be charged with criminal attempt to commit second degree burglary, criminal mischief and felony vehicle eluding after failing to stop for deputies.
