CASTLE ROCK, COLO. -- A young man from Colorado Springs has died after being hit by an SUV while walking on I-25.
The accident occured around 2 a.m. Sunday outside Castle Rock.
The Colorado State Patrol said the 23-year-old had just parked his SUV in the right lane of the highway and was walking around it when another SUV hit his car, which then hit the victim.
No one else was injured in the accident.
The victim's name has not been released, and officals said they do not know why he parked his car on I-25.
