PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers said a 21-year-old man died Friday morning after crashing his car into the back of a trailer.
According to officers, the trailer was attached to a diesel truck that was stopped at a red light on eastbound Santa Fe Drive at Northern Avenue.around 7:23 a.m. The 21-year-old crashed into the trailer from behind.
Officials took him to Parkview Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
Officers said sun glare may have contributed to the crash, but they said alcohol, drugs and excessive speed were not factors.
Santa Fe was closed for about two hours but has since reopened.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
