COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a Fort Carson soldier who missed a court appearance on animal poaching charges.
Authorities say 21-year-old Tyrel Weber is accused of poaching animals, hunting on private land without permission and abandoning a big-game carcass.
According to KKTV-TV, court documents indicate Weber told authorities it felt good to have a gun in his hands and do what he was trained to do.
A spokesman at Fort Carson did not return a call Tuesday seeking comment.
