COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man for strangling a victim after the two of them apparently decided to go to Walmart together after the strangling.
According to officers, 24-year-old Nicholas Harris allegedly strangled a victim in what they described was a domestic dispute around 6 p.m. Thursday, but they didn't say exactly how the two were related. They said she's a female but didn't confirm her age.
The victim told officers Harris strangled her repeatedly during an argument in the 3300 block of Quail Lake Road. She said he also threatened to kill her.
After the assault, she convinced Harris to go to Walmart, where she was able to get someone to call police.
Officers arrested Harris around 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Walmart and will charge him with attempted second degree murder, second degree assault, false imprisonment and child abuse.
