PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers said a woman has been arrested after passing eight traveler's checks at a local Target store that all had the same routing number.

According to officers, a Target loss prevention employee said Laquianeshia Rogers came into the store in the 3300 block of Dillon Drive in the city and passed eight forged checks Jan. 8.

Rogers was arrested in Grand Junction the next day for trying to do the same thing with the same checks.

Rogers got $626.11 in cash from passing the eight forged $100 checks, and she also purchased $167.79 in merchandise.

Officers said shortly after the arrest they learned Target stores in New Mexico, Arizona and California also reporting the same activity.
