COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a Sears store in a city mall Tuesday morning.
Around 10:20 a.m., 42-year-old Stephen Saylor walked into the Sears in the Chapel Hills Mall, took items from the store and left without paying for them. Loss Prevention officers tried stopping Saylor in the parking lot, but he pulled out a knife and threatened them.
Officers got Saylor's license plate number and connected the car to a hotel on South Nevada Avenue. They found the car and pulled Saylor over, during which they found a knife similar to the one mall officers described in the robbery.
After further investigation, Saylor was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Nobody at the mall was hurt.
