3 face drug charges after citizen calls in tip

LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar Police officers are thanking a citizen who reported a suspicious car that led to the arrest of three teenagers for drug-related charges.

Officers said an anonymous person called in a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) report for a car in the 600 block of North Main Street in the city. When officers arrived, they found three men in the car.

After investigating, officers arrested 19-year-old Brian Gurule for DUID and passenger Joshua Viar, also a 19-year-old, for distribution of drugs after they found he had about 20 prescription pills on him.

Officers also cited another passenger, 19-year-old Danen Disque, for marijuana possession.

Viar's bond is $50,000, and Gurule's bond is $1,000.
