Body found on city's northeast side

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating after a body was found late Monday night on the city's northeast side.

The body was reportedly discovered on the side of the road in the 5900 block of Rim Ridge Court, near Vickers Drive and Academy Boulevard.

Few details are being released at this time, but the Major Crimes Unit is currently at the scene investigating. Officers have said the body is a man's who had a traumatic injury.

Officers said they are investigating the death as suspicious.
