Man arrested in connection with robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have made an arrest following a post Christmas liquor store robbery.

Detectives from the robbery unit found the suspect, 27-year-old Mark Burdine, in the 3500 block of North Cascade Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Burdine was wanted for robbery after he was accused of jumping over the counter at J's Liquor on Fillmore Street, assaulting the clerk and then fleeing with cash.

The incident had been the second robbery at the store that day, however police said the cases are not related.

Police also said that this case is not a part of the string of four liquor store robberies that took place around the same time.
