COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers were kept busy Thursday night by a string of robbery reports across the city.
The first incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. at Oddones Liquor in the 400 block of Union Boulevard.
Officers said a tall man with a medium build and wearing a black stocking cap entered the store with what was described as a "large gun."
He grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a white four door vehicle that had been parked on St. Vrain Street.
The next robbery report came in to police close to 9 p.m. from Bob's Liquor in the 3500 block of El Paso Street.
A victim told officers that an unknown man entered the store carrying a shotgun and demanding cash.
As soon as he cleaned out the register, he placed the victims in the back of the store and fled the scene on foot.
Mere moments later, just before 9:30 p.m., yet another call came in to officers in reference to a robbery at the Quart House Liquor Store on Palmer Park Boulevard.
Again, officers said a man entered the store, displayed a pump action style shotgun and demanded cash.
The suspect was described as a male about 5'10'' with a heavy build. He was also wearing a black ski mask, gray hooded jacket, white t-shirt and jeans.
A white car was spotted in the parking lot of the store just before the robbery took place.
The final robbery of the evening occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Platte Liquor in the 2300 block of Platte Avenue.
Officers said a man armed with a shotgun entered the store and took cash before fleeing in a car parked nearby.
The suspect in the case is being described as a black man about 6'1'' with a thin build and a mustache.
He fled the area in what is described as a silver Honda, possibly an older model hatchback.
Officers are investigating the incidents and said they are looking for one man accused of robbing all four stores.
