COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Alcohol may be to blame for an accident that killed a southern Colorado man Friday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Highway 115 in Fremont County.
The Colorado State Patrol said a Ford E-350 was heading north when the driver failed to negotiate a turn and veered off the road, rolled, and then hit a guardrail.
The driver, a 56-year-old man from Penrose, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the van.
He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
His passenger was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured.
Investigators believe alcohol contributed to the crash.
