OLD COLORADO CITY, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating a business burglary in which someone fired 14 bullets into glass before entering and ransacking the place.
Early Sunday morning someone fired 14 rounds from a semi-automatic 9mm handgun into a plate glass window of a retail business in the 2500 block of West Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City. After two of the shots shattered the window and made a hole large enough to enter, the suspect ransacked the business.
Officers said a neighbor walking past the business noticed the damage around 4:18 a.m. Sunday and called officers.
Officers did not say what business it was. They also said they don't have any information on the possible suspect.
Several "shots fired" calls came in between 3 and 4 a.m. describing the number of shots and where they were coming from.
