COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a cell phone store, then threatened a woman and tried stealing her car Wednesday evening.
Officers said around 6:30 p.m., a man entered the Cricket store in the 1700 block of South Circle Drive in the city, pulled out a gun and demanded money.
Officers said he left with an undisclosed amount of cash despite several witnesses in the store at the time.
About five minutes later, officers said a man who they believe was the same one from the robbery came up to a woman at the Diamond Shamrock gas station in the 2400 block of Arlington Drive and demanded her car. The woman grabbed her purse and car keys from the car and walked quickly into the store. Officers said the man yelled at her when he realized she had taken her keys but eventually ran from the area.
Witnesses described him as a Hispanic man, about 6' tall who weighs about 140 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
