DENVER (AP) -- More people are traveling this Thanksgiving week than since the start of the recession despite the high cost of gas and airfare.

In Denver, the Daley family got a deal on an early morning flight even though that meant getting two children under three to the airport before dawn on Wednesday.

Jen Daley said they would visit her mother in Orlando and also add on a family weekend in Disneyworld.

Jake Pagel, a restaurant server from Denver, said he put in long hours to save money and get bills paid before traveling to visit his girlfriend's family in California. He said he's sacrificing being able to work during the most busy and profitable time in the

industry but says spending time with family is something that you can't measure in monetary terms.
