COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet is focusing his efforts on the unemployment plight of the country's veterans.
The senator is heading to Colorado Springs Friday as part of his effort aimed at reducing both unemployment and homelessness.
His visit is suppose to be part of his larger effort to support America's veterans and military families.
Friday afternoon Bennet will attend a veterans jobs roundtable discussion in the Springs with many of the city's major employers.
He will also be attending a peer navigator program at Aspen Pointe Health Programs as well as touring the Crawford House Transitional Housing.
