Local restaurant robbed overnight

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A local restaurant was robbed Saturday night, and now Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for the person responsible.

It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the Papa John's on N. Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs.

Officers said a man holding a long-barreled revolver escorted an employee into the business with the gun to his back, and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 5'2" and 5'5" tall, last seen wearing a dark blue hoodied, dark pants, black gloves and tan boots.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 444-7000.
