COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man who allegedly threatened two kids with a knife Wednesday afternoon as the kids were walking home from school.
Officers said two 10-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were walking home from Aububon Elementary School and were in the 2300 block of E. Van Buren Street when a man came up to them and demanded money. The man had a small pocket knife in his hand, and when the kids saw the knife, they ran.
The children described the man as Hispanic, about 40 years old and was about 5'6" - 5'7" with a medium build and a slight goatee. He wore a black beanie and a white and black jacket.
Officers said there was another Hispanic man in a suspect truck. Officers described it as a newer model white pickup truck with a black hook on the back, and they said it may have been pulling a black trailer.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
