COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said a sixth grade student does not face life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car Tuesday morning.
Officers were sent to the intersection of Fountain Boulevard and Murray Boulevard just before 8 a.m. Tuesday in response to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian.
An investigation reveled that a sixth grade student was crossing at Fountain against the light when an eastbound car hit the student.
The student was transported to an area hospital, but officials said the student did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle will not face charges in the accident.
