First influenza case of the season in Colorado reported in Mesa County.

GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (AP) -- Mesa County health officials are reporting Colorado's first confirmed case of influenza of the season.
The county health department said Thursday that a laboratory test confirmed the illness in a Mesa County resident.
The resident's name wasn't released. Health officials say the resident had traveled out of state during the likely time of exposure.
State health officials confirm it is the first flu case of the season in Colorado.
