COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have arrested a man wanted in connection with a homicide from last month.
Officers with the department's Tactical Enforcement Unit arrested Roy Saldivar Wednesday afternoon on a warrant for first degree murder.
They said he was found near the intersection of Nevada Avenue and Boulder Street.
Palmer High School was on lockdown for a short time as a safety precaution.
Police said Saldivar is the suspect in a deadly shooting from Sept. 22.
Just before 9 p.m. that night, officers were called to the 2900 block of Tremont Street near Fillmore Avenue for a report of shots fired.
When they arrived, they found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound.
CSPD said Saldivar was riding in a car driven by 36-year-old Deirdre Dziuban when he was located by police.
Dziuban was also arrested, and charged with accessory to first degree murder.
