TELLER COUNTY, COLO. (AP) -- Teller County Sheriff Mike Ensminger is issuing a warning about credit card scams after he and three of his deputies learned they were victims.

Ensminger said he used his debit card in the town of Divide last week and suspicious charges started showing up this week from stores along the East Coast and in the south.

According to KCNC-TV, the department is investigating after about 100 victims turned up. The sheriff says everyone should check their bank accounts frequently.
