COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man they said is connected to a shooting that happened in eastern Colorado Springs Monday evening.
Officers said a 35-year-old man was shot in the head just after 7 p.m. Monday in the 5500 block of Bonita Village Road near Palmer Park Boulevard and Powers Boulevard.
According to officers, multiple people fled the scene after the shooting, but police have identified one possible suspect as Donny Lopez. Lopez is a Hispanic man, about 5'6" and has multiple tattoos on his neck and face.
Officers said he may be driving an older model white Chevy Camero with t-tops. Officers said he is armed and dangerous, and are asking anyone who may know where he is to contact police.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. Officers said a large disturbance led to the shooting but didn't release any other details.
