COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are searching for two suspects who left shattered glass and the sound of gunshots behind after a violent altercation Wednesday evening.
Officers had been sent to the 1800 block of Monterey Road to investigate the sound of gunshots.
Victims at the scene told police that Devin Gilbert, one of the victim's ex-boyfriends, had taken a small baseball bat and shattered the victim's driver's side window, cutting a passengers arm.
They said that Gilbert then swung the bat at the victim but hit an unknown female in the head.
That's when the second suspect allegedly began shooting before he and Gilbert fled.
No one was shot in the incident, and the woman hit with the bat has not been found.
Officers said Gilbert is being sought on domestic violence, second degree assault, and felony menacing, among other charges.
The second suspect is described as a white man, about 24 years old.
He is about 5'10'' tall and was last seen wearing blue shorts, no shirt, and has tattoos on his arms and shoulders.
Witnesses said the two fled in a white Blazer type vehicle with a dark colored passenger door.
