COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have issued an arrest warrant for a second woman wanted in connection with a shooting that left one dead and one injured at an AutoZone store in the city July 27.
Frani Olivas, also know as Frani Romero, is wanted on charges of accessory to first degree murder.
The 48-year-old woman is Hispanic, is about 5'2" and weighs 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Officers said she may be driving a red Ford Windstar minivan with Colorado plates 510 VSU.
Ernest Schmidt was arrested Aug. 2 and charged with first degree murder in the case. Schmidt allegedly shot a man to death in the parking lot of the store on the corner of Powers Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard July 27, and shot another man inside the store during an armed robbery. He then kidnapped a third victim and drove down Palmer Park to Academy Boulevard before letting that person free.
Schmidt was caught five days l
after near the Valley Hi Golf Course.
Officers haven't said what, if any, relationship Olivas has with Schmidt. Anyone who knows where she may be should call police.
