COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office recovered two vehicles driven by a man who tried to kidnap and shoot his girlfriend, but the man himself remains on the run.
Deputies are still looking for 28-year-old Corey Handy after they said he shot at his girlfriend after attempting to kidnap her early Wednesday.
On Thursday two anonymous tips led deputies to recover a 1997 gray Honda that was used in the shooting in the parking lot of the JC Penny store on Powers.
Officials also recovered his motorcycle at the Woodlands Hills Apartments near Woodman Road and Union Boulevard, but Handy was nowhere to be found.
He was last seen driving a 1997 Dodge truck with metallic green paint with red flakes and New Mexico plates.
Handy is wanted on four counts of first degree criminal attempted murder, first degree kidnapping, and child abuse.
Handy is accused of following and shooting at a vehicle that his girlfriend had flagged down to help her.
