COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Another 600 Fort Carson soldiers are expected to be welcomed home Friday afternoon just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Two welcome home ceremonies are scheduled to be held at the Special Events Center on Post.

The first wave of 350 soldiers from the Raider Brigade are expected to arrive around 12:15 Friday afternoon.

The second wave of about 250 soldiers will arrive shortly thereafter at around 1:30.

During their deployment the Raider Brigade worked to rebuild Afghanistan's infrastructure and forge a close partnership with Afghan National Security Forces.
