COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police officer Josh Carrier has been suspended without pay following child pornography charges which led to a May 11 arrest.
Carrier was formally charged with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a child in court Tuesday, leading to the suspension.
Carrier has yet to be formally charged for his second arrest, in which he is accused of five counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Carrier volunteered at Horace Mann Middle School as a wrestling coach in 2009-2010, during which he allegedly touched several students inappropriately.
The judge agreed Tuesday to combine the two cases.
Police do not have any other information.
