COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are looking for a man they said robbed four banks in Colorado Springs over the past month.

Police said the man is dangerous and are asking the public for help in identifying him or gathering information.

"He goes into the banks, he's demanding cash, he's holding a gun, he's holding people at gunpoint, and he's a very dangerous person," Sgt. Steve Noblitt with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said.

Police describe the man as a 5'9" - 5'11" man who has a medium to muscular build. They said is age ranges from early 20s to early 30s, but they do not know the race or skin color of the man. Victims said they have not observed a distinct accent. Police said the man may also be military trained.

"He's covered from head to toe, but he does have some pretty distinctive mannerisms and characteristics, and that's what we want people to concentrate on," Noblitt said.

The man allegedly robbed the following banks in the city:

- Academy Bank in the 2800 block of Briargate Boulevard on Dec. 28
- American National Bank in the 4100 block of Royal Pine Drive on Jan. 10
- TCF Bank in the 5400 block of E. Woodmen Road on Jan. 15
- TCF Bank in the 4300 block of N. Academy Boulevard on Jan. 22

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Robbery Unit or CrimeStoppers.

"Take note of clothing, take note of mannerisms, take note of, we don't believe he has an accent, but take note of the way the person speaks, take note of their shoes, their socks, their pants, their everything and that may be the single piece of evidence that we need to track him down," Noblitt said.
