WOODLAND PARK, COLO. -- An autopsy on the body of a woman reported missing shows she probably died of hypothermia.
Woodland Park police said an autopsy was performed on the body of Mindy Lee Saturday morning.
Police said the official cause and manner of death will have to wait until toxicology results come back from the lab, but they said preliminary results show Lee died of hypothermia.
Police said the autopsy showed minor cuts and scratches on her body consistent with someone who had been running through a field in the dark.
Lee's family has been notified of the results of the autopsy.
Lee was first reported missing Nov. 26.
Her body was found covered in snow behind Woodland Park high School five days later.
