WOODLAND PARK, COLO. -- Woodland Park police are still searching for a missing Manitou Springs woman who hasn't been seen since Friday.

Police say 33-year-old Mindy Lee was last seen Friday around 8:30 p.m. near Woodland Park High School, heading towards Rampart Range Road.

Police said Lee was visiting friends in Divide, Colo., and they were traveling to Woodland Park to pick somebody else up. Along the way police said they stopped at the hospital in Woodland Park because Lee wasn't feeling well, but she never checked in.

Her friends told police when they stopped in Woodland Park behind the high school, Lee got out of the car and took off without her shoes.

Police agree the circumstances around Lee's disappearance are strange, but what they are most focused on is finding her and bringing her home.

"Well it's a lot colder than it was Friday night, I can tell you right now, and it's not even dark yet," Sgt. James Halloran with the Woodland Park Police Department said. "It's going to be really cold by the time it gets dark."

Police said the priority is knowing that she is safe and warm.

"We'd really like to find her," Halloran said. "I am hoping that she is inside a house and warm, and for some reason hiding, or something. Hopefully she's not out in the cold."

Her friends told police they tried to follow her but lost her in the dark.

Police searched the area Friday and Saturday with a search dog but were unable to find any trace of her.

"It sounds like she is hiding from us, rather than something, somebody did some harm to her, so hopefully somebody can find, or somebody knows where she is, or she's staying with somebody and they can tell us," Halloran said.

Police said if she is hiding, they just want her to let them know.

"Just let us know she's ok, let her mother know she's ok, either call us or call her, or both. Call somebody," Halloran said.

At this time police don't think foul play is involved but said they can't rule it out either.

They said they don't currently have any search teams out because there isn't anywhere else to search they haven't already, but they said they are following up on any leads they get.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Woodland Park Police Department at 719-687-9262.
