COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Weeks after celebrating its high marks on the Colorado Students Assessment Program, the Vanguard School at Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy has another achievement of which to be proud.

Senior Ally Callahan received a perfect score on the SAT writing portion, the first Vanguard student to achieve the honor. The SAT college admissions test measures high school students' abilities in critical reading, math and writing, each section scored on an 800 point scale.

Callahan gives credit to “Mrs. Tripoli, Miss Middleton, and Mr. Good for pushing me in writing.”

Callahan is also the first student so far in the vanguard class of 2011 to be admitted into college. Asbury University in Kentucky is giving Callahan the opportunity to seek a scholarship for half tuition.
