Two children hit by cars in Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two young children have been injured in two separate accidents in Colorado Springs.

The first happened at a car wash located in the 3100 block of South Acadmey Boulevard.

Police said a 2-year-old boy ran out in front of a hummer while his dad was busy vacuuming out his car. They said the boy was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Meanwhile, a 4-year-old has been hit by a car in northeast Colorado Springs. Police said the the child was hit in a neighborhood near Powers and North Carefree. The 4-year-old was taken to the hospital, although the extent of his/her injuries are unknown.
