PUEBLO COUNTY, COLO. -- Pueblo County Sheriff's deputies arrested three people in connection with an illegal marijuana grow.

Joseph Leyba, Coryanne Drummond and Nicholas Shaffer face three charges relating to possession and cultivation of marijuana. The Narcotics Unit found about 120 marijuana plants growing in the basement of a house in the 1700 block of Cougar Dr. in Pueblo West Friday.

The unit obtained a search warrant for the house after a concerned energy worker became suspicious of excessive energy use and contacted deputies July 28. Deputies followed up with investigators, who gathered enough evidence to justify the warrant.

In addition to marijuana, the Narcotics Unit found three weapons, including an SKS assault rifle and ballistic vest, as well as a complex ventilation system.

The three suspects have been booked in the Pueblo County Jail with $100,000 bonds each.

The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.
