PUEBLO, COLO. -- The Pueblo County Sherriff's Office is investigating a brutal assault.
Officials say around 10:00 Wednesday night, a 33-year-old man was taken to St. Mary Corwin Emergency Room by ambulance from the 2400 block of Lake Ave. in Pueblo.
The victim, who is not being identified at this time, had serious bodily injury to his head and was admitted to the hospital for surgery.
His condition is unknown at this time.
The initial investigation was handled by the Pueblo Police Department until it was determined that the assault may have occurred in West Pueblo County.
