COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are searching for an armed bank robbery suspect.
It happened at the Wells Fargo branch on S. Cascade Ave. around 7:30 Friday morning.
Police say as some bank employees were reporting to work, the suspect pulled out a gun and forced them in to the building where he demanded money.
The suspect then proceeded to assault one of the employees, and was able to steal an employee's car to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police later located the abandoned vehicle, but the suspect is still on the run.
He is described as an African-American male in his twenties or thirties.
