Police seek 2 persons who failed to register as sex offenders
PUEBLO, COLO. -- On Thursday, Oct. 22, several agencies in southern Colorado participated in the annual sex offender fugitive round-up and compliance operation known as “Operation Shepherd 2009."
The Pueblo area agencies rounded up nine sex offenders who had warrants for their arrest. Seven of the nine were taken into custody.
The offenders arrested are:
* Tafoya, Joseph -- D.O.B. 6/21/51
* Pendlay, James --D.O.B. 4/13/82
* Venia, Christopher -- D.O.B. 9/18/60
* Price, George -- D.O.B. 6/30/68
* Cornwell, Monica -- D.O.B. 11/13/75
* Wyatt, Dennis -- D.O.B. 9/4/57
* Valdez, Mateo -- D.O.B. 9/22/56
Law Enforcement is still actively searching for two people who have warrants for failing to register as sex offenders:
* Carbajal, Reina -- D.O.B. 5/16/88
* Sterner, Claude -- D.O.B. 6/1/79
