* The Pikes Peak AdaMan Club its annual trek up Pikes Peak to shoot off fireworks on top at midnight. It is the club's 30th year for the event. Group members will flash mirrors from the timberline beginning at 3 p.m.
* Fountain Creek Nature Center holds the "Pajamas in the Park" event overnight for first through fifth graders. It includes a night hike, watching the fireworks at midnight, and breakfast and another hike tomorrow morning. For information, call 719-520-6745. Address is 320 Peppergrass Lane, Fountain.
