COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- For the past 26 years, the Bob Telmosse' Christmas Giveaway has given away bikes, food toys and clothing to families in Colorado Springs.

And just like last year, the giveaway has partnered with Mr. Bigg's Family Fun Center to make this the best Christmas Ever.

This year, Mr. Bigg's owner, Steve Bigari, said they're trying to collect 2500 bikes.

And the chilly weather didn't stop generous folks from bringing all the could to help Mr. Bigg's and the Bob Telmosse Christmas Giveaway make this the best Christmas Ever.

Marie Ovalle from First Source in the Springs was part of a donation of nearly 40 bikes.

"As you can see, we had folks go through their garage," Ovalle said. "Everybody has something to give."

Bring a Bike to Bigg's Day brought single-bike donations and truckloads of the two-wheeled wonders.

"A bike for a needy family is way more than just a toy," Bigari said. "For a young person it's a way to get to work. It's a way to get around."

And on Dec. 23, Christmas will be made merrier for thousands of families in the area.

"It's a beautifully simple process," Bigari said. "Everybody brings what they have, then we redistribute it according to need. There are no questions asked; just a great family atmosphere."

So, despite the cold, the warmth of the holiday season was in the air.
