Temporary USFS jobs open soon for southern Colorado fire season

PUEBLO, Colo. - The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) -- Pike & San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron & Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC) -- is offering nearly 70 temporary jobs in a variety of fire-related occupations for the 2018 fire season.

Locations include Salida, Lake George, Cañon City, Buffalo Creek, Monument, Woodland Park, Pueblo, and Springfield in Colorado, as well as Elkhart, Kansas.

Job seekers can apply for the temporary jobs through USAJOBS from December 15 to 21.

Applicants will be able to apply to up to 10 duty locations for each job announcement. Applicants should also identify any preference in which area of fire suppression they are interested in working (hotshot, helitack, engine, handcrew).
