(AP) -- DENVER, Colo.-- The Colorado Bureau of Investigations says a backlog in background checks for firearms buyers is now up to several days.
The Denver Post reports the wait is so long that a clock on the background check website has reached its limit of 99 hours and 59 minutes.
The co-owner of a weekend gun show says the delay means gun dealers will have to mail firearms to customers or meet them later once the background check has cleared.
