COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- It's an international affair, when you belly up to the bar at the Golden Bee. The 19th century English pub rebuilt on the Broadmoor property is like a trip back in time with chandeliers, wood carvings, and a ragtime piano player.

But the Golden Bee wouldn't be a Colorado Springs landmark if it didn't come with some fabulous food like pub cheese, fish and chips, and of course beer.

But the quaint charm of the British staple is wearing thin, so it's about to undergo and expansion, more than doubling their seating and adding a new beer garden.

"For guests that have been coming to the Bee for a very longtime the actual Golden Bee that you're used to is almost untouched," Jason Janson, Manager of the Golden Bee said.

Most of the construction will be happening in the corner by the end of the bar where the piano is currently located and will mirror the current theme.

So even though they're expecting larger than usual crowds, this final weekend before construction starts  they're keeping with tradition and not accepting reservations, it's still first come first serve.

The expansion is expected to last five months, construction starts Monday Nov. 12th.
