COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police investigating a stabbing at a local clothing store.

CSPD was called out to Plato's Closet on Academy and Galley around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

When officers arrived they found a man who'd been stabbed in the back and arm with a large knife.

Police believe the victim was a customer who stepped in to help a clerk.

"Some of a disturbance broke out in the store we do not know yet if it is actually a robbery attempt or a disgruntled customer or any of those kinds of things we're still interviewing all the people inside to get a strong determination of what happened," Sgt. Darrin Abbink, of the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

No word on the victim's condition, but FOX2 1News has been told his injuries are serious.
