Colorado Springs ranks #2 on U.S. News "Best Places to Live" list
COLORADO SPRINGS, C - Colorado Springs is one of the two best places to live in the United States, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
Colorado Springs comes in second on the annual list, bested only by Austin, Texas. Denver came in third.
The second-place ranking is a big jump from last year, when Colorado Springs ranked 11th. Denver ranked second in 2017.
The Best Places to Live list ranks the 125 most populous cities in the U.S. U.S. News and World Report analyzed each city's job market, cost of living, quality of life, and desirability. The quality of life measure takes into account crime rates, quality of health care, quality of education, average commute time, and general well-being. They also consider whether people are moving into or out of the city.
