Suspect steals pizza delivery driver's car at gunpoint in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Police are investigating after the car of a pizza delivery driver was stolen at gunpoint in Colorado Springs Monday night.

It happened just before 7 p.m. in the area of Westmoreland Road, near Acacia Drive and Mt. View Lane.

According to police, the victim was delivering a pizza when he was approached by the suspect, who then demanded the victim's car at gunpoint. The suspect then drove away in the victim's car headed north.

The victim's car is described as a 1997 beige Chevrolet Cavalier with Idaho license plate 1LE3147. The car has damage to the driver's side.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 5'10" tall with a thin build, wearing dark clothing.

Anyone who sees the suspect or car is asked call police immediately.
