Police looking for man who tried to install skimming device on Colorado Springs ATM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who tried to place a skimming device on a Colorado Springs ATM Saturday morning. 

Police said it happened around 6:50 a.m. at an Ent Credit Union ATM drive-up. The ATM's security features detected the device and shut the system down, according to police. No credit card numbers were stolen. Police were able to recover the skimming device. 

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid- to late-20s with distinctive tattoos on his right wrist.

He has dark hair, a mustache, and a beard. He was wearing a red, white, and blue stocking cap with large white stars. 

The suspect was driving a silver or light brown station wagon with out-of-state plates.
