Eight arrested during investigation in central Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The El Paso County Sheriff's department made several arrests Thursday night while investigating the murders of Colorado Springs teens Natalie Partida and Derek Greer.

Deputies executed a search warrant on Yellowstone Road in Colorado Springs, which is near Printers Parkway and Airport Road. While at the location, they came in contact with 10 people. Eight were arrested on various charges, including pre-existing arrest warrants and felony narcotics.

The following suspects were arrested:

  • Codey Slape, 26, on a warrant
  • Jonathan Briggs, 37, on a warrant
  • Justin Martinez, 29, on a warrant
  • Kristina Meyer, 38, on a warrant and drug charges
  • Marsha Haughton, 25, on a warrant
  • Chase Girard, 29, on drug charges
  • Rhonda Keller, 54, on drug charges
  • Amanda Allen, 28, on a warrant

According to the sheriff's office, all of the arrests are unrelated to the murders of Greer and Partida.

There's no word on whom or what deputies were looking for at the location. Since the discovery of the teens' bodies on March 12 along a road near Pikes Peak International Raceway, seven people have been arrested. Authorities are still looking for two more people in connection with that case. They are 17-year-old Endo Velarde, who also goes by "Sleepy," and Carlos Meza, also known as "Tink."
